About NAWIC

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) was founded in 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas. The association has grown over the years from 16 founding members to approximately 7,000 members in 238 chapters. Our National Office is still located in Fort Worth, Texas.
 
NAWIC offers you a chance to associate with other women in construction. The rewards of becoming a NAWIC member are many. Our goals and activities are geared exclusively for the construction industry and its people. The membership represents many roles within the construction industry, from human resources to project management to owner. From suppliers, designers and architects, to engineers and general contractors, NAWIC is truly representative of the breadth of one of the largest industries in the world.
 
We translate our enthusiasm to the different projects that the member companies are involved in. NAWIC provides education, networking, legislative awareness, industry and community involvement, personal development growth, and lasting friendships.
