NAWIC Founding
The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) was
founded in 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas.
The association has grown over the years from 16 founding
members to approximately 7,000 members in 238 chapters.
Our National Office is still located in Fort Worth, Texas.
Mission Statement
NAWIC is an international association of women employed in the
construction industry which promotes that industry and supports
the advancement of women within it.
Core Purpose
To enhance the success of women in the construction industry.
Believe in ourselves as women and persevere in the strength of
our convictions.

Goals
To provide programs, services and activities for women in
construction to be the recognized source to champion women in
the construction industry.
