NAWIC Founding
The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) was
founded in 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas.
The association has grown over the years from 16 founding
members to approximately 7,000 members in 238 chapters.
Our National Office is still located in Fort Worth, Texas.
Mission Statement
NAWIC is an international association of women employed in the
construction industry which promotes that industry and supports
the advancement of women within it.
Core Purpose
To enhance the success of women in the construction industry.
Believe in ourselves as women and persevere in the strength of
our convictions.
Core Values
Believe in Ourselves as Women. Persevere with the Strength of
Our Convictions. Dare to Move into New Horizons
Goals
To provide programs, services and activities for women in
construction to be the recognized source to champion women in
the construction industry.
NAWIC Pledge
As materials for the construction of our buildings, I pledge the
agility of my hands, the ability of my mind, and the integrity of my
heart.
NAWIC Opportunities
NAWIC offers you a chance to associate with other women in
construction. The rewards of becoming a NAWIC member are
